Anyway, it fell from the arm of the couch to the cushion, i.e. about 1 foot onto a soft surface. This caused the backlight to go out. It's not completely dead. When the thing restarts or when I press function F5 (backlight toggle), the screen comes on for a second or two, then goes out again. When its out, it's just the backlight; the lcd screen still works. Just damn impossible to see.
Searching around I've seen a lot of people talking about some fuse that might have blown. Sounds plausible? What to do?
