Also, I missed a task, between Tasks 4 and 5:
Task 4.5: Install and configure Samba
This will let all the computers in my home network actually use the file server. It'd be pretty pointless without that! I figure I'll have that done this evening, or tomorrow evening if I encounter difficulties.
