I finally decided it was a good time to switch to Android. Switched from at&t to t-mo. There's lots of android phones to choose from and after years of dealing with ios, and apple I decided on a Sony Xperia Z1s. A nice big 1080p screen and smoking fast specs make this (waterproof) phone a pretty sweet device.
After tinkering with my [private] 7 FHD, for a few months I'm very comfortable leaving ios behind for android.
