Just because there are so many different "types" of Christians.
I want to answer your question like this: To the true believer in the Christian God - human death looks like a relief. We believe that for a believer, an eternity with God (the greatest good there is) is just waiting around the corner of death. We believe that human life is a short fragment of our purpose and place in existence, but an important one.
Death is attractive, but only when it's God's will. We may be worried about who we leave behind or we may not like the idea of the pain involved in death, but the aspect of dying itself seems very attractive.
We truly believe:
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
(Rev 21:4)
Is that helpful to your storyline?
