Perhaps without the evolutionary development of trust... we might not be here...

I think the one thing we can demand from other conscious entities is that they do not do anything that directly threatens our survival. So, we need to determine those things that directly threaten our survival and also what directly threatens other conscious entities survival (we can have different rules for animals because... well, morality is relative but besides that, animals don't pose nearly as much threat to our survival as do other conscious entities, especially more advanced conscious entities). We should try to make our societies as self-sufficient as possible to help reduce the need for interaction with other societies.

Let us consciously decide to have very few things threaten our survival.
Let us not encourage what we do not like but let us also not discourage what we do not like.
Let our societies demand only their societal space and that which takes place in that space and let our societies demand not other societies societal space and that which takes place in that space.

Moralities are survival strategies. So, a general morality that generates particular moralities is actually a general survival strategy that generates particular survival strategies. A general survival strategy and the particular survival strategies that it generates restricts an individual and a society from doing certain things. The things not restricted could be many but the individuals desire for them could be different so the societies that could be created from the same general survival strategy could be quite diverse...

We should not assume that because we make little as a threat to us that others do the same. So, to not threaten the survival of other conscious entities... should be to not interfere with them in any way since they may perceive many things as threats...

I want to create a society that is as unimposing to its citizens and other societies as possible. It would most definitely be capable of defending itself from threats to its survival but I think part of its unimposition would be the fact that it considers very few things to be threats to its survival and its reactions to dislikes is not extreme. It would be very easy going.

Do not take, what does not belong to you, from an other conscious entity. Make yourself so self-sufficient (so your needs so few) that when you come upon something that is not yours and apparently not any other's as well (so is right for the taking) abandon it at once if another comes along and claims it, even when offering very little proof of their ownership. Better yet, hardly take anything of that which can be taken.
