Perhaps pleasures which don't seem to aid in ones survival, like a hobby of... playing cards, does in fact help one survive since, perhaps, boredom can drive one to kill themselves...
Perhaps not liking certain personality traits comes from the, conscious or unconscious, belief that such personality traits could be a danger to one's survival... If one is forming an utopian ideal, ultimatlely motivated because of survival instinct, then personality traits that do not fit the ideal and so would ruin the ideal and one's prospects of survival, would not be desired.
One who violates an other without the other violating the one or without the other about to violate the one is a possible threat to the existence of others.
... Genes are not consciously trying to survive. They just survive if they're just able to survive in their enviroment. Mutations of genes don't occur for the purpose of trying to improve the genes survivability, they just occur and if they happen to help the gene survive... they just happen to help the gene survive...
I do not desire to learn your complexity unless I choose too. I desire more to create my own complexities, which may be simplicities to you, I do not care.
Ha! I think what I really meant by [generative morality] was an "Evolutionarily Stable Strategy".
An evolutionarily stable strategy includes methods to prevent and reverse instability. (If I'm gettin' it right...)
The more self-sufficient one is the less interaction they need with others so the less survival strategies they need to devise and employ to deal with others so the more simple and secure their life.
What I think I really want is a personal culture of one which coexists and occasionally mingles with other cultures of one or more and which is probably encompassed by a more general culture which facilitates its creation and existence.
I think that for me there is still too much complexity to deal with even in a relatively simplistic and small society. To keep the society how I want it creates problems that I think will continually have to be dealt with. The "simpler" solution to a society with more than one (especially alot more) is... to pretty much have no particular culture at all. As unrestricted as possible... I guess a democracy...
Let's say me and one other comprise my society. I need to be able to change without worrying about the other and I need to be able to let the other change without worrying. Like, this other should be able to take our language wherever they want without me having to come along. We need to be able to diverge when we want and come together when we want.
Treat others in a way that doesn't threaten their survival so that they don't threaten your survival.
