What the hell, this sucks. I guess it's not using quite that much due to my efforts at conserving hot water, but still. It's an energy pig. Great sadness.
I don't think a heater blanket would even help much, because the unit is not warm to the touch at all. I don't think it's losing much heat through the shell. The pipes going in and out are warm, though, so I'll definitely insulate those.
