that the seller isn't even aware of my purchase at all. He's been completely non-communicative, including once I got PayPal involved and basically threatened to take all my money back, while presenting the alternative that he just send me what I bought and we be done with it -- he can't lose on that, I don't think, and yet he won't even respond at all. Maybe he got hit by a bus, or maybe his mom did and he's been by her bedside in the hospital for weeks. Or maybe he's just some asshole who doesn't like me for some reason.
Whatever the reason, I have no ill will toward him, but at the same time I don't want to pay for literally nothing.
PayPal did mention in their dispute tutorial a concept of reputation, but there's nothing visible that I can see -- certainly nothing obvious like on eBay or Amazon. I'm thinking maybe it's just an internal measure PayPal uses, and when it crosses some threshold they simply cut him off? I dunno.
