Thursday when I first noticed it, the thing hurt like crazy by virtue of simply existing. Friday was the same, although perhaps a little more painful. By the time I woke up on Saturday, it was a barely noticeable blip on my radar, and by now (Monday) it no longer hurts for just being there.
Throughout this whole time it has hurt to touch it at all, however yesterday it was noticeably less tender, and today even more so (er, less so? less tender today than yesterday...).
Its diameter has reduced dramatically, now less than half an inch; its height has increased noticeably, but it's still not standing up straight or anything. Overall it seems like my body is basically coralling this thing and pushing it up to the surface, trying to push it out of my body. Not unlike the body's immune response to a pimple, in fact.
I do think it is improving. If that changes, or if it hangs around for much longer without further improvement, I'll go see a doctor about it, but for now at least it seems that it is healing up fine on its own.
