Waist: 42 inches
Hips: 44 inches
WHR: 0.95
A WHR (waist-to-hip ratio) of 0.90 is considered healthy for males; 0.70 for females. Assuming my hips remain where they are (which I doubt they will), I'd have a WHR of 0.77 at my target waist of 34 inches. I expect my hips to shrink as my waist does, however.
Now, I'm not going to swear that my measurements here are completely accurate - I had to use a carpenter's measuring tape (the metal type with the curve in it to keep it from bending) as I don't have a body one. Also, this is the first time in the history of me that I've ever taken any measurement other than weight or height; I used an image (WARNING: Probably NSFW, but on the other hand it was published by the NY Times...) I found on a Google search as a guide.
A WHR of 0.90 or lower is healthy for males, and one of 0.80 or lower is healthy for females. My bad!
