Illegals are an unfortunately necessary part to having a thriving economy.
The jobs taken by illegals can in fact, create more jobs for others and take a base of jobs others won't take.
80+ % of americans are employed by "small businesses" many of which utilize illegals for "menial" tasks, at a lower pay rate, increaing revenue for growth and employment their pay structure is such that some are able to open small business with less investment, also creating employment in other positions.
"I build homes, I hire illegals for the constuction work so I hire someone as a supervisor, I hire sales people, I give business to suppliers, who make more money, and hire more people to produce more product." Basic supply and demand.
Look at it this way, (Insert Employer Name) "who owns X restaurant" has over 1000 restaurants employing directly more than 100 persons per restaurant with at least a third as "aliens". If those third made 12/hour instead of 8 and worked 40 hours per week, the payroll would be increased by $5,280,000 per week or $2,745,600,000 per year. Where do you think that additional money would come from? That is 2 billion 745 million 600 thousand dollars. If it cost an additional 2.7 billion to operate X restaurant, then we would either go bankrupt or have 2.7 billion less profits on which to pay taxes, and have no money to expand and open new restaurants with which in turn would hire more people and increase profits, gnp, and tax base.
With less expansion, prices would be increased, less people would go out and eat, less would be employed, and it would be a burden on the economy. Think of the tax paid on that added income and growth. Business growth increases total tax and can decrease individal tax. Tax is only relative to gnp.
Debt ratio and tax to gnp is what is relative but the point is clear, the use of illegals boosts the economy.
Now, take this in. Those illegals will also pay taxes HERE. They will spend their money HERE. That will create an additional need for jobs to supply them with their goods HERE. Their children will grow up to be legal HERE. Those children will become educated and look to advance themselves HERE. Taking on some of the newly created jobs HERE. Increasing the consumer base (demand) HERE.
Some people would have it that we send all illegal aliens "back where they came from" so that all jobs could be given to Americans, at a higher wage, and that this will help unemployment. Simple answers often sound really, really good, but they just don't work in the real world. Such thinking would cause spiralling inflation which would lead to greater unemployment than those ideas would serve.
