Liberal is a very broad term

I'm not American, so the article doesn't apply to me anyway, but even if I was... I'm not the kind of liberal who puts individual freedoms above collective responsibility, always, in every situation. Maybe I'm more of a socialist than a liberal, I don't know. But it seems to be talking to only one specific kind of liberal, the kind who's a card carrying member of the ACLU and all that, and that's not all of us.
