Okay, so reading this article (which is linked and reprinted below), a girl lists on her MySpace that she's 19, and divorced, and from the picture I see, she looks a lot older than 13, which she really is. She meets this guy, tells him she's 18, and they have sex. She tells him after the act she's really 13, so he goes to her father to explain the situation. Long story short, the guy is in jail now for one year, after which he has a tracking bracelet for five years and he's now on those sex offender lists.
Alright, I'm all for caution when having sex with girls you don't really know, but this girl really takes the cake, because this is the second time she's done this. The first guy got five years. This is what her father had to say:
Dean's father (the girl's dad) wanted Williams (the guy) to join Mills (the first guy it happened to) there (prison).
"One of the reasons for the law is the fact that minors have poor judgment," said Jerry Dean, the girl's father.
I agree with what the convicted guy's father-in-law had to say:
Williams' father believes the jail sentence sends the wrong message to Alisha.
"I guess we just sit back and count how many after this," Henry Smith asked after his step-son was sentenced to jail.
Especially makes sense after this part:
Dean's family admits Alisha still stays out late and has yet to delete her misleading MySpace page.
This girl has misled and had sex with two guys, they've been convicted and sent to jail, and her family doesn't do ANYTHING? I guess on one hand, if these guys had been a bit more cautious and smarter they could have kept out of jail, but I just can't help but feel sorry for them.
What do you all think? Girl's fault? Guys' fault? Equal culpability? Blame her family?
Man Sentenced To Prison After Girl's MySpace Page Lies About Age
ORANGE COUNTy, Fla. -- A 13-year-old girl's sexual shenanigans have put a second man behind bars. Morris Williams, 22, told the judge he thought the girl was 18-years-old, but he found out Tuesday that ignorance is not a defense.
Morris Williams' mother wailed as he went off to jail. The judge asked for media not to show 13-year-old Alisha Dean's face in court, but her pictures are all over her MySpace page and they portray a sexy, 19-year-old divorced woman.
"She told me she had just turned 18," Williams said.
Williams said Dean picked him up on the street and after a few conversations they had sex. When he heard she was not 18, he went to her father.
"He was like 'well, she's 13,'" Williams said of a conversation with Dean's father.
Dean's father wanted Williams to join Mills there.

Williams will serve six years probation with the first year in jail. The other five years he will have to wear an ankle monitor. His attorney says he will come back to court to ask again for a shorter sentence.
