They were rather pointing out that 178% of Montana residents (I could be off on that number, haven't looked it up recently) frequently hunt, which means that there are a lot more firearms running around there for perfectly benign (PETA-esque arguments aside for now) reasons, and that includes a lot of firearms in the possession of high school students (and even younger).
