For another, like you say, boys should have the right to decide what is done with their body. But. My husband is Jewish. And for Jews, circumcision is fundamental. It is the sign of the covenant between God and the Jewish people. It is a fundamental part of the Jewish identity. Personally part of the reason I'm hoping for a girl is so that I don't have to deal with this issue. But legally - I would have to support a religious exemption to the law.
