If I were buying a tablet today, it'd be this one.
Google advertises it as having the highest-def display of the 7 inch tablets, @ 1920x1200 resolution (323 ppi). They added a rear camera, something the original lacked. Still no haptic feedback, though. It's a bit lighter and a bit thinner, and of course has an upgraded processor.
The screen is really the thing, though. In this review, they compare the pixel density:
