Wish me luck...Windows upgrade imminent!

This will probably be the first time I'm running completely new Windows OS since the launch of Windows 2000

I'm going to upgrade everything from within Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro, then most likely wipe and do a completely new install later. I'm curious what the process is like from scratch.

This is on a new laptop, so I've got my DVD with drivers loaded and ready just in case.
